"Tsuki Madoka" 2007 24x48" Acrylic on Canvas
"Tuki Madoka” is literally translated "The Moon Full”. Tsuki means the moon in Japanese. Madoka is an archaic Japanese word, which means circle or sphere that is a symbol of fullness and contentment, harmony and integration.
Fumiyo named her daughter “Madoka” hoping that the child would grow up as a warm and gentle person who would make everybody happy.
The face of the child represents the moon that shines on people quietly and makes them calm and peaceful.
